Assistant Regional Engineer
Description
As the Assistant Regional Engineer, you will provide engineering assistance in administering state and federal grant-in-aid programs to assigned public airports so that a safe and viable air transportation system can be developed, maintained, and promulgated. This position will have the option to telework .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This vacancy is being announced at two different job classes Engineer Senior or Engineer 2 Graduate. The final class and starting salary are dependent on the successful applicant's qualifications.
Engineer Senior:
Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or be able to obtain licensure through reciprocity .
AND
Experience with engineering principles and practices to provide consultation to city/county/airport and consultant engineers and/or administrators wanting grant-in-aid funding.
Experience interpreting plans, specifications, profiles, sections, maps, and land parcel legal descriptions.
Experience with transportation construction practices and perform fundamental inspection activities.
Engineer 2 Graduate:
A bachelor's in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and two years of post-graduate civil engineering work OR
A master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college, university, or equivalent and one year of post-graduate civil engineering work.
AND
A passing score on the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam.
Experience with engineering principles and practices to provide consultation to city/county/airport and consultant engineers and/or administrators wanting grant-in-aid funding.
Experience interpreting plans, specifications, profiles, sections, maps, and land parcel legal descriptions.
Experience with transportation construction practices and perform fundamental inspection activities
