The purpose of this position is to provide support across several major business functions in the Drinking Water Protection (DWP) Section and the Environmental Health (EH) Division. This position's main responsibilities will be administering the state Service Connection Fee program, assist administering the state Water Operator Training Program, and assist administering the state DWRF grant/loan program.
To be routed for consideration applicants must demonstrate on their resume that they meet the following:
- Two years of paraprofessional, technical or administrative experience applying advanced Excel skills and MS Office experience.
- Applicants must have experience in four or more of the following areas: invoice processing, grant administration, records management, drafting/editing professional correspondence, data analysis, or post-secondary coursework in environmental health, public health, or a business related field.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental health, public health, communications, or business related field
- Flexibility to work individually and on small teams
Two years of experience in government (state, county, city, or public water works) office work involving the following:
- Invoicing and/or grants
- Physical/electronic records management
- Basic web page design
- Coursework in a public health related field
- Drinking water infrastructure
Lift/carry boxes of 25lbs Work from multiple locations (office, occasional remote water operator school locations 1-2 days at a time 6-10 times per year)
This position requires successful completion of a background check.Must possess a valid Class D driver's License and pass a Motor Vehicle Report
