In this position you will assist the Provisions Engineer in the Special Provisions Unit; Develop special provisions and special provision boilerplates, to prepare Special Provisions for State and Maintenance Transportation Construction proposal documents where the plans and standard specifications do not adequately set forth the intent of the contract; to review State and Maintenance Construction Plans to ensure conformance with MnDOT's engineering standards and policy; and to perform other additional duties as necessary for proper function of the Special Provisions Unit.

Must be licensed as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design. If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment

AND experience in:

Experience in detail design, construction practices and methods, materials, etc.

Experience with transportation standard specifications for construction, material specifications.

Experience with writing complex, technical memos, and specifications.

Project Management experience.
