Department Overview

The Children's Minnesota Sleep Center includes a clinic that addresses all pediatric sleep disorders and a sleep lab that provides diagnostic testing services relating to the control of respiration, sleep staging, and esophageal pH recordings. Patients range in age from pre-term infants to young adults with special needs. Children's Minnesota Sleep Center is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. There are less than 10 fully accredited pediatric sleep laboratories in the United States.

Position Summary

This position is composed of a wide variety of important responsibilities that facilitate the smooth functioning of both the Children's Minnesota Sleep Center and Apnea Program. Duties include greeting and checking patients, phone triage, medical transcription, and patient scheduling. The position closely interfaces with the entire SDL staff, Sleep Disorders Physicians and Psychologists, various referring physicians, and nursing staff. Accountabilities also encompass a number of office management duties. There duties include ordering and stocking of office supplies, copying and collating educational and confidential patient materials, and generating monthly statistical reports. The person in this position works independently with minimal supervision or direction.

License/Certification/Registration required? No

Education:
*High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:
*3-4 years of administrative experience preferred.
*Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
